Visual

I'm writing my arguement paper on on-campus living and how college students should live on campus during their college career. The above picture shows a floor-plan for a suite type of a dorm room here at Northern Arizona University. Compared to traditional style dorm rooms, this room has a restroom that the occupants of the adjoining rooms share. So the residents don't have to share a community bathroom with the rest of their hall. The picture can be used in my arguement paper because it shows that colleges offer different styles of rooms to their students and are moving away from the more traditional style rooms.

yes I agree that living on campus has its benefits but it also have it downs. The floor plan is a great way to show the different options but what about the people that don't get the chance to sign up for the suite style rooms? Is their only other option to live in a traditional style room if they are underclassman?

This a really cool looking picture! This is a great way to show students what a dorm will look like at Northern Arizona University, although why did you chose the suite style layout to show? What does it have to offer to those students who either can't afford a suite style, or are not able to live in one because they are not an upper class men?

The one thing the floor plan doesn't show is how big it really is. Most of the suite style dorms are actually a lot smaller than the traditional dorms because they have to fit more into the two rooms. It may be better if you show more than just that style of dorms and may be one of the pictures of the dorms with people in it so that they can get a perspective on how big the rooms really are.

I think this a great picture to support your argument, especially since this room has its own bathroom. I think living on campus is something every college student should do for at least one year. Though, I know on our campus many of the suites or apartment style dorms tend to fill up very early leaving students no choice but to live in small dorm rooms with community bathrooms or it forces them to have to live off campus. That maybe a counterargument you could include in your paper if you haven't already done so.

I think that living on campus can be beneficial in many ways. I liked the picture you chose for your visual. It is suite style room, which is nice for those who can live in them. But i think it would have been better to maybe have shown a nice tradtional room, because it is what a lot of students will be living on campus.

I think this is a really good picture of a floor plan at NAU and it provides incoming students with a good idea of what one of the rooms look like that they can live in. But it seems to me that most of the room options on campus are not suit style like that, and for the rooms that are setup that way are very hard to get into unless you are an upper class man.

You are absolutely right students are pushing for better housing. As time progresses it will only get better. Keeping students on campus keeps them connected, and close to the classes for easy access. Great picture!
